FEBRUARY - BLACK HISTORY MONTH - Dance Ink is proud to celebrate Black History Month!
Black culture has always been an integral part of our society and has had a huge influence on today’s popular culture, from music and dance to fashion and vocabulary. It’s important to us that we recognize and appreciate the contributions made by the Black community to the world of dance. The history of dance is closely intertwined with the history of Black culture, and we want to take this opportunity to pay homage to the many pioneers who have paved the way for dancers of all backgrounds. At Dance Ink, we believe that it is imperative to acknowledge and honour the Black dancers, choreographers, and innovators who have shaped the dance industry into what it is today. Let us come together to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Black community and to strive for a future where diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the forefront of the dance world.
